The Erie County Public Library offers tours of its facilities to a wide range of groups. A club or an organization may want to take a tour of the library to learn about the many resources the library has to offer. Or, classes of young and adult students can come to find out how to do research for a particular project.
Tour a County Library
Please note that all library tours take a break from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Groups are welcome to stop by for self guided visits but we are unable to provided scheduled tours.
A knowledgeable tour guide from our team of volunteers will give an overview of each of the departments of the library, as well as a brief history. General tours usually last 30-45 minutes.
Students who are planning to do research for a specific subject will find this tour to be very beneficial. The tour is led by a staff person from our Reference and Adult Services department. Research Tours are usually customized for the group’s area of interest.
Tours should be scheduled at least several weeks in advance. Call us for more information, and available times/dates.
If your group would like to schedule a tour, please contact: Outreach Services via email Library Outreach or call (814) 451-6959.
