The six independent non-profit public libraries in the County of Erie, together with the Erie County Public Library (ECPL), form the Public Libraries of Erie County, also know as PLEC. PLEC member libraries share an Integrated Library System, administered by the ECPL, allowing county residents to:
- Obtain a card at any library outlet
- Access library collections at all locations
- Borrow from and return to any library in the county (with a few limited exceptions, including Inter-Library Loan)*
- Pick up your materials at the library of your choice
- Use the online catalog to find and place holds on library materials at all locations
- Use the Public Access Computers at any PLEC Library
- *Please Note: In order to satisfy local demand, new materials for the independent libraries of Erie County are limited to their library use for six (6) months, at which point they are then available to all PLEC members.
